The Return of the SCS!

Only four people voted in this, the first SCS. Hopefully as the weeks go by, we'll get more.

A quick recap of how it works. Anyone who wants to vote, submit to me your Top 15 Poll any time on every Sunday. Email me (sharkeykeATgmailDOTcom) or IM me (shark675) with your poll.

I'll compile them, with each first place team getting 15 points, second getting 14, all the way thru 15th place getting one. Then I'll figure out who the collective Top 15 is, and will release the SCS on Sunday or Monday night (depending on how drunk I am on Sunday night, and if I'm capable of math).

Here's the week 1 poll. No real surprises.

1. Ohio State (60)
2. Michigan (56)
3. West Virginia (52)
4. Florida (43)
5. Auburn (42)
6. Louisville (41)
7. Texas (36)
8. USC (32)
9. Tennessee (31)
10. Cal (26)
11. Notre Dame (16)
t-12. Rutgers (11)
t-12. Boise State (11)
14. LSU (10)
15. Arkansas (9)

It's hockey season!

Too tired to give a detailed post, but the NHL is back again. Woohoo. Devils had their first game tonight, a nice 4-0 win at the expense of the defending Cup Champion Hurricanes. Marty got win #447, tying him with Terry Sawchuk for 3rd all-time. 105 wins to go until he's #1 alltime.

Newcomers Travis Zajac, Jim Fahey & Johnny Oduya played well in their first game, and I think all will be key contributors this season. Especially Zajac, the 21 year old kid from North Dakota who is centering the Elias/Langenbrunner line. Potential ROY darkhorse.

Next game tomorrow night @ Dallas, then four days off before the home-opener Thursday night, which yours truly will be attending.
